I was blessed with another little gift from a table guest on our last night at the Hitty Lark Foofarah! Sharon Kirby had carved these tiny little Hitty dolls for each lady at the table. She is totally darling!

I was so very thrilled to attend my very first Hitty doll event in Branson, Missouri, called the Hitty Lark Foofaraw!
It was so exciting to get to meet so many of the ladies from my Hitty and Friends Facebook page. It was hosted by Janet Cordell and her sister, Adina Huckins and a few other ladies.
The last night was a dessert buffet and all of the attendees were given a beautiful specialty carved, just for us, Hitty Doll!

Then all of the bunch threw Hitty Larken a marvelous party and what fun they had!
Many adventures are certainly ahead for my little Texan Hitty Larken!

I thought I would share with you "My Room". I sew, craft, make dolls, paint, just whatever I want to in here. This room is on the front of the house so I have a nice view of the front yard. It is really a very small bedroom but it turned into "My Room" instead.
Let me get the door for you and show you around.
The old table is my busy busy area - where I sew and every thing else. You can see I have my TV in here so I can be entertained as I work. There is the pink Hitty dollhouse on the left. It was my mother's little china cabinet and when she passed away I took it and painted it pink and it was perfect for a dollhouse. In between the pink Hitty dollhouse and TV is my grandmother's old Singer treadle sewing machine. It doesn't work now but I did learn to sew on it - and I treasure it!
Here you can see the sewing machine a little better. I crocheted the runner on top, the little milk glass lamp belonged to my mother and I do store stuff all under it. Maybe I should make a little skirt to cover up my junk? Now that old file cabinet where the TV sits, I modge podged scrapbook paper on the drawers to make it look a little prettier. That's been almost ten years ago and the papers haven't pealed at all!
For years and years I did cross stitch and here are a few. I have tubs filled with gillions of pieces for all of the seasons.
This is the fabric I've used all over the room, a pretty blue and white toile. I made the curtains and used it on the skirt around the table, again where my stuff is hidden.
This is my chair. It's an old rolling office chair and I took a throw and covered the seat, back and arms to make it look a little prettier.
I also made a skirt for the table so I could poke stuff under it and believe me, there is lots of stuff under that skirt!
Behind my chair is where I keep lots of my supplies. I bought a bunch of these little plastic bins with drawers, covered the insides of the drawers with scrapbook paper to make the fronts look nicer. You can see another skirted table. Actually it's more file cabinets with a heavy top placed on to and I can poke all sorts of things in the drawers but it can still look pretty. I just love things to look pretty. More to see below.
Moving on around the back of the room I have a comfy rocking chair, where my little mini Schnauzer has claimed.
I make Tilda dolls also and you can see some sitting on the little shelf. I seem to gravitate to olden things and have quite a few antiques.
Moving around the room you can see I have a little closet - I'm saying a tiny little closet and beside the closet is a little baker's rack where at the time this picture was taken, I kept my cross stitch floss and patterns here. Now it's filled with Hitty things.
Above the baker's rack is another cross stitch pieces and on the baker's rack are some of my cherished little things.
Hope you've enjoyed touring "My Room".

Well, it seemed it was time to carve another Hitty so I want to introduce you to Hitty Hally. Since she was born in October and it's kinda close to Halloween - thus her name. She wanted orange hair and violet eyes. Here she is in her Halloween dress and is so looking forward to meeting you.
Here's her little face. Maybe she should have freckles.
Hitty Hally wanted to make sure you could see her purple boots! I wonder now if she is going to have a colorful personality! Probably.

After roll call a special day was planned by Miss Pearl. She had asked Becassine to come to class and teach the children a few French words. The children were so very attentive and were trying to hard to learn.
After Becassine had left it was on to Hitty studies. Miss Pearl had all of the Hitty books on her desk. Even though Bubba and Dusty aren't really Hittys, they were still excited to learn about Hittys. Tang took his seat on the Hitty beach at the back of the room.
Miss
Pearl is so kind to her students. She ordered in hamburgers and cokes for all
of the kiddos for lunch. They were enjoying them so much as the Hittys
and boys had never had a hamburger before nor a coke. Miss Pearl even
got Tang a hamburger too!
The children all look so cute sitting in their colorful desks. Their class room is filled with lots of color to hold their attention so they won't get board. They have had a wonderful first day of school and it's going to be a wonderful year. There's only one thing missing...

While looking through some of my wood pieces I found a smaller piece of wood I had saved to make miniature furniture and thought...hmm. So I decided to use it to carve a Bitty Hitty! Meet Bitty Hitty Baily. She's about 3.75" tall. I have learned how to join little dolls with elastic and that's how she's jointed. She got a new dress and you can see that in the comments. Hope you like Bitty Hitty Baily!
I think she turned out pretty cute, don't you?
This little Bitty Hitty certainly could not remain naked, so I had to make her a new dress! Here you can see Bitty Hitty Baily's new dress and can how Edra is taking care of her.
Seems I’ve been been neglecting my newer Hittys and haven’t make them any more dresses. Shame on me! They all love little Bitty Hitty Bailey and her dress…so I grabbed the rest of the fabric and made them dresses this morning. They are all pleased. Each dress is from a different pattern because I forgot which one I really liked! Good grief. Little Bitty Hitty Bailey is sure loving all of this attention!

Here is a closeup and I made sure the little owl was front and center of the bodice! I’m just so talented, ya know!
We toured the beautiful Rosalie mansion in Natchez and Hitty Annalie wanted her picture taken in front on the gate. They wouldn’t let us take snaps inside so this is the best we could do. Hitty Annalie wanted to make sure you all could see her in her new dress of course!
