Gail Wilson Monthly Hitty Club

I have two Gail Wilson Hitty dolls, the one with the premade head and limbs and stuffed body. Actually my very first Hitty was a Gail Wilson Hitty doll kit that I put together. I bought my second one from a friend. 

I got all smarty pants and decided to join the Gail Wilson Monthly Hitty Club where I would receive a box each month with all about Hitty goodies to either make, put together or sew. My first kit was the doll but this time not only would I put her together - I had to paint her! Paint her FACE!! Could I do it? 

Here you see I painted her. I didn't have any Styrofoam to to use to poke the pieces in to dry after painting so I grabbed some balls of crochet thread. That'll work! All of the paint and sealer was in the kit as well as a little fat bristled brush for her cheeks. 

I messed up and had to redo the paint on her face and hope the paint isn't too gloopy.

 

Meet Hitty Haddie Gail in her new dress (the pattern and fabric came in the kit).

Here you can see Hitty Addie (my first Hitty), Hitty Maddie (the Hitty I brought from a friend) and Hitty Haddie Gail. My new Hitty just had to have a name that rhymed with Addie and Maddie so therefore Haddie and Gail after Gail Wilson. I think she turned out pretty cute.

 

Hitty Haddie Gail got new duds and her winter cape and hat and she wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas!

I wanted to share a little Christmas from my Hitty family! Pawpaw was Santa and the Bittys were waiting patiently for all of the presents to be passed out before opening. Becassine has returned from a long vacation in France and is getting to know Mawmaw.  

 

 Here is the group enjoying Christmas day and enjoying each other.

 

 

 Pawpaw played Santa and passed out all of the presents. The Bittys were waiting for their goodies. Little Dusty is so thankful to had a Pawpaw teach him boy stuff.

 

These little wooden heads are being so nice waiting for everyone to receive a package before they open theirs.

Mawmaw and Becassine are having a lovely chat with Becassine telling about her trip to France and Mawmaw filling Becassine in on all of the happenings since she had been gone.

Little Bubba got a boy doll and named him "Blaze". He said boys could have dolls too if they were boy dolls.

 

Just look at these lovely little gals with their Christmas gifts! Caroline! There is Hitty Caroline! Where in the world have you been, Caroline, we've missed you!

Sea Cruise

 

Well, we love to cruise and decided to take on cruise on Royal Caribbean and got home two days before Christmas!  Of course all of the Hittys wanted to go but I decided I could only handle two little wooden girls. Hittys Hally and Prissy got to go and they did have lots of fun. Just take a peep at some of the fun they had below.

Meet the Grandparents

  I asked my Hittys what they wanted for Christmas and they surprised me and asked for Grandparents! So I did my best for them. I would like to introduce you to Mawmaw and Pawpaw. Again their faces aren't too smooth - I don't know if it's because it is butternut wood, as it's kinda crumbly, or if it's just my lack of sandiness! Probably my lack of sandiness!

 

Here are Mawmaw and Pawpaw all carved up and dressed and are ready to meet the family!

 

Here's a little closeup and I can see by their expressions that they are going to be very nurturing to our little wooden kids.

 

 

I want to assure you that Mawmaw and Pawpaw would not be seen in their underwear for just anybody but they agreed to pose for me so you could see their grandparentness. As you can see, Pawpaw have a little belly because he loves to eat pie. Mawmaw has kept her girly figure pretty well.

 

The family has met Mawmaw and Pawpaw and have posed in front of the Christmas tree just for a photo!

Hide and Seek in the Kitchen

 

The Hittys are busy in the kitchen this morning and were unaware that Bitty Hitty Baily was playing Hide and Seek behind the chair! She thinks if she stands ever so still they won't know she's there.          So far it's working!

All Is Well

Hitty Hally and Hitty Foofy are just relaxing today while bitty Hitty Erie and bitty Hitty Tippy play. As you can see, Tang and Sugar are supervising.
