I was so very thrilled to attend my very first Hitty doll event in Branson, Missouri, called the Hitty Lark Foofaraw!
It was so exciting to get to meet so many of the ladies from my Hitty and Friends Facebook page. It was hosted by Janet Cordell and her sister, Adina Huckins and a few other ladies.
The last night was a dessert buffet and all of the attendees were given a beautiful specialty carved, just for us, Hitty Doll!
Here is my beautiful girl! Isn't she so pretty? In honor of the event I have named her Hitty Larken.

When we got home all of my Hittys were just thrilled to death to meet Hitty Larken and they had put together a ceremony just for her.
Hitty Larken doesn't know if she is from Arkansas or Missouri, so my Hittys swore her in as a Texan.
Hitty Larken says with her little wooden hand on the Bible, "I will say 'y'all' as often as I can, I will eat breaded fried okra when I can, I will salute the Texas flag, sing the state song 'Texas, Our Texas' when appropriate and honor the state flower, the bluebonnet, but not hold it too tightly as it's prickly - so help me God!"
Then all of the bunch threw Hitty Larken a marvelous party and what fun they had!
Here she wants you to see the back.
Oh, little Hitty Larken is just so cute, don't you think?
Being that she is new and so very very special, I couldn't just stop with a shawl - I had to crochet her a pretty new dress too. She found a bonnet that was given to me in a Hitty swap and she said it would be just perfect with her new dress. It was!
Many adventures are certainly ahead for my little Texan Hitty Larken!
Keep Playing!
