Look Out!

 Uh On!

I found the cutest little pink scooter and thought it would work just fine for the Hittys! Yes, it was the right size and Hitty Annabelle wanted to be the very first to try it out! I hope she sees that there is a very big gap between the stones and get off the scooter. We don't want her to have an accident.

Hang Up Your Clothes!

 

With seven very active Hittys, they are beginning to acquire quite a big wardrobe. 

What are we to do?

Build a closet of course! I saw some of my Hitty friend's closets for their dolls clothes and of course that tempted me to make one too!

  

I grabbed a box from an Amazon delivery and thought - this will surely make a nice sturdy closet. So I grabbed my scrapbook paper, wooden dowels and glue gun. But alas, I had no clothes hangers! I improvised and grabbed a box of large paper clips and made my own hangers.                                    Not perfect but they work!

 

 

 The Hittys were so excited that they asked me to make some more closets for their crocheted clothes.  So I made a couple of these. You can see my Hittys are very pleased.

Another Hitty Swap!!

                    From time to time our Hitty group sponsors a clothes swap. This is just so much fun and this time we were to exchange an apron with our Hitty swap partner.            

Look, look, look! Here is what I received - not just an adorable apron but a dress to go with it. Now my partner went the extra mile and sent fabric for a Hitty pillow, a little flower book, trick or treat bag, necklace and precious card! Oh, I was just spoiled with this swap.
                                  

 This is the apron I sent to my swap partner. I crocheted a little pinafore and also crocheted some little flowers to embellish it. Hitty Caroline wanted to model it before I mailed it away.

Here is my apron I sent to my swap partner and her little Hitty is wearing it. I do hope she likes it. She does look pleased, don't you think?

Cowgirl Tilda

 I thought I'd take a break from the Hittys and the Tang disappearance and focus on another Tilda doll I made. I was asked by a friend to make a Tilda doll for an auction. A Texas style auction. So what kind Tilda could I make? A Cowgirl Tilda!

Here is my Cowgirl Tilda all dressed in denim and checks. I added a pretty trim to go on her skirt to help her look a little more fancy.

Well, actually I made two Cowgirl Tildas. I was so pleased with the auction Tilda that I thought I needed a Cowgirl Tilda for myself too! So the above Tilda and the below Tilda.

 

I kept this Cowgirl Tilda in the red bandana. Both Cowgirl Tildas have long braided pigtails and a little straw hat.

This was a first since I had never made boots before and didn't have a pattern for any. So...what did I do? I just winged it. I used some brown felt and sewed little lines on the tops on my sewing machine. They aren't perfect but they'll do.

Now if you are a Cowgirl Tilda living in Texas you have to have a firearm! So I found these cute little guns at Hobby Lobby in the jewelry making section and thought they would do just fine. These little handguns even have a special stone hanging down from the barrel. The little gun is sewn to her belt.

The Healing

 The Hittys have been grieving so much over the loss of Tang so Miss Pearl, their school teacher, said it would really help them to draw and paint pictures of Tang. The girls have been painting all of last week and now some little smiles and giggles are coming out of their little wooden mouths! Miss Pearl is quite wise!

You can see above how busy the Hittys have been, drawing and painting pictures of their beloved Tang! Some of their renditions are quite good!

The Hittys went outside to play with their little dolls for an early recess. I am so relieved to know their little lives are getting back to normal, even without Tang. They are getting over missing Tang so much and getting back to their fun Hitty life. 

Then Miss Pearl shows up with a wagon filled with kitty cats!! Next ….

A Memorial

A Memorial

 Our hearts are in mourning today. We are all so saddened and in shock. Our beloved Tang has gone missing. We never let him go outside but a few weeks ago he joined a couple of Hittys for a photo shoot outdoors and we have not seen him again! We do think he met his demise by a lawnmower. Oh, the grief, the broken hearts, we'll never see him again.

 

The Hittys have held a memorial service for Tang as he touched every Hitty's life at our house. 

Think of our girls today as they mourn.
