Gypsy Wagon
I
have been so busy this past week. The Hittys and I were scrolling
through Pinterest looking for Hitty things to make and the girls saw a
miniature gypsy wagon! They went crazy! "We want one! We want one!",
they cried! I said, "No way!" Well, you know I'm a sucker for those
little wooden heads and caved. I cut, chopped, glued, pressed and burned
off all of my fingerprints and did the best I could to make one.
When
it was time to put the wheels on, I
had a marvelous thought - let's have a gypsy tiny house! The Hittys
loved that idea. They wanted to show you what we have so far. Still have
more to do, we don't even have a doorknob yet! I think you'll get the
idea. The gypsy tiny house is made entirely from foam board. I love that
stuff! Hope you like it.
Here is an overview with the Hittys all on the front porch!
Just a warning, there are lots of pictures to show you so buckle up!
Here is the little Gypsy Tiny House all set up and ready for guests. I see Hitty Caroline wants to be the first to visit.
It's
very important for a Gypsy Tiny House to be very festive and colorful
all over. Do you remember the Gypsy Wagons from the old Vampire movies?
Yep, they had them.
Now let's look inside...
Here is a look over into the kitchen area. It's very small in here so everything is most compact!
Here's another view to show you the set up. The kitchen area on the left and the living room/bed room on the right.
You can see the bunk beds here so two Hittys can sleep. The bottom bed is also the sofa.
The
little kitchen. I made all of the furnishings except for the hutch. I
just painted and decoupaged it. Bright colors outside and bright colors
inside.
Now
you can see where the girls can sit on the bottom bunk to chat and then
can sleep there and above. The beds have new linens and pillows I made.
There are clocks, plates and paintings hanging on the walls.
Another view looking down on the opposite side. Are you getting tired of pictures?
One more peep down inside the Gypsy Tiny House.
Now
any respectable Gypsy Tiny House has to have a spiffy roof too! The
roof comes off. Now since I was using foam board it was a bit tricky
making a curved roof. I did the best I could but you can see below, it
ain't perfect!
Crooked curved roof or not, the Hittys love their Gypsy Tiny House!
Keep Playing!
