Well, do you ever have a thought that just tugs and tugs at your brain and you just have to give in and give it a try? I did. I wanted to try my hand at a polymer clay head for a Hitty doll. I've worked with polymer clay before for mini food and accessories but never a doll head. I got scared and ordered a face mold.
really looking much like Hitty but hey... So here she is - Hitty Echo. I didn't know how to make shoulders so her funky neck was placed on a wooden doll. I painted her face and added some puff paint to puff out her hair a bit. I made a cloth body and she is button jointed. I didn't paint her body, just her socks and some red Mary Janes. We will see how she works out with the other girls. I don't know when to stop and made about more six heads! I do go overboard. Her face isn't very smooth because of the mold. Shoot! I may just try to wing the next one. Somebody stop me!
