I wanted to show you the new quilts for my Hitty's bunk beds I made! This is the fabric from Wendi Dunn and is selling on Spoonflower. I think they turned out so very cute. I made each lining a different color to add some interest to the little quilts.
The quilts are good for story time too! The Hittys are loving their Becassine. They are enjoying hearing her stories about France and her coming over to America on a cruise ship. The babies have calmed down, Tang and JJ are being so good and the Hittys are learning so much from her. Here they all are having a nice story time. Some of the girls on the floor got a little chilly so they cozied up under their new blankies! Life is good!
I am also very happy to show you the little Hitty quilts made from the same fabric! Isn’t this just the sweetest fabric? I was able to get six quilts from the material sent to me!
In case you were wondering how I made these little quilts, I cut the quilt fabric the size I needed and then cut a backing about an inch or so bigger. I sewed around the quilt fabric and lining fabric with wrong sides together. Then the excess fabric on the lining fabric was ironed down and flipped over onto the quilt fabric and whipped stitched around it to have a little border! Fun and easy!
Life is good and very cozy!
Keep Playing!
